The Fursuit Festival.

We have a new big event this year that we're really excited about, and we hope you will be too. We're calling it the "Fursuit Festival," and here's how it works:

Here's what you can expect to happen during the Festival:

Remember that we are inviting the public to join the Fursuit Festival. Expect children to be present, and make sure your behavior and the appearance of your fursuit are appropriate for young children. Please remember, you are going to be giving many people their first impression of the furry fandom. We are trusting you to represent the fandom in a positive light.

The primary focus of this event is photography, and we will have no practical way of removing specific people from any pictures taken. If you don't want pictures taken of you or your fursuit, please consider other events on the convention schedule during this time.

Festival Signups.

To make the Festival the greatest it can be, we need your input. We are looking for skilled photographers to run the group photo areas, and looking for suggestions on what group photos you'd like to see.

We'd love to also hear any other suggestions of activities or other things to add to the festivities!

The Bachelor Auction.

Started in 2014, eligible bachelors can sign up to be auctioned off at-con, with the proceeds going to charity!

Fursuit bachelors:
Come show off your Fursuit and provide a recreational evening on the dance floor with your bidding partner. Enjoy a Fursuit Friendly dance evening while raising some extra funding for our charity.

Bidders:
Come bid on your favorite available Fursuit Bachelor. Should you be the winning bidder, you will be allowed to dance in a completely platonic manner with this fabulous fursuiter for the first hour of the Friday dance.

What To Expect:
Fun, music and dancing. All we're asking is that the suiters show whom ever bids on them a good time on the dance floor for the first hour. There are no other expectations or obligations. No inappropriate or lewd acts will be implied to get bids on the stage, and the same will not be tolerated from any bidders. This entire event is good clean fun for a charity, and we intend to keep it that way.

There will be a period of time between the auction and the dance to give all suiters time to prepare and enjoy the con. They will also be allowed to break to the headless lounge during the dance to cool off and hydrate. It really shouldn't be any different then if they were attending the dance normally, except they'll have an escort with them to dance with.

Every penny of the fursuit bachelor proceeds will go towards our charity.

Apply.

The signup deadline has passed.
Please watch your email; bachelors will be notified via email by April 30th.

We only have so much time and room for this event; not everyone who signs up will make it on stage to be auctioned.

Read about any updates on the bachelor auction twitter page.

The Bachelors.

When?

Friday: 2pm to 3pm on the Main Stage!

2015.

The fursuit bachelors, our heroes, raised a total of over $1400 in 2015. Our goal for 2016 is to raise $2000!

What We Are Looking For.

Full fursuits are preferred, though partials will be considered as well. Males and Females are both welcomed, we only ask that all suiters are comfortable dancing with either gender, as bidding will not be restrictive to one gender or the other.

Suiters do not need to be a great dancer to apply. Just willing to have a great time and able to devote the first hour of the dance to their bidder on the dance floor. The people bidding are donating to the convention's charity, and we want them to be happy to have done so.
